ROGAINE
The Unbiased Truth

Rogaine is an OTC (over the counter) therapy proven by the FDA to regrow hair. This statement is not exactly accurate, however. Rogaine foam is applied to the scalp once a day and the claim is to "Regrow" hair. Rogaine's active ingredient is Minoxidil 5%. ScalpMed is the exact same Active ingredient: Minoxidil 5%.

If Rogaine didn't work for you, than ScalpMed will not work either. Over the past 10 years, consumers are aware that Rogaine doesn't really regrow hair. Hair loss was not treated, hence consumers still continued to lose their hair. A few fine thin hairs that were not programmed to be sensitive to DHT grew a bit thicker, while the DHT sensitive hairs continued to shrink until they were unable to pierce the skin, thus eventually the follicle dies, causing baldness.
Active Ingredient: Minoxidil (Rogaine and ScalpMed)
Rogaine worked a little bit. Why and How? Rogaine's A.I. (Active Ingredient) is Minoxidil. Minoxidil was an anti-hypertensive and regrowth of some hair was a common side effect. Minoxidil did not work by increasing vascularity as many experts discussed. Minoxidil works on the PG E receptor, which is located at the level of the hair follicle. A.I. (PG) are discussed in the A.I. section. We now are aware that there are more selective hair receptors that control hair growth- PGF 2-alpha. The PGF 2-alphas are also discussed in the A.I. section.
