HAIR GROWTH
The Unbiased Truth

Much controversy exists over the treatment of male pattern balding. In fact, the FDA has taken a position to help prevent the exploitation of the consumer in this arena. Although, the current FDA approved products utilizing Minoxidil, the Active Ingredient in both Rogaine and ScalpMed don't really treat hair loss, but simply mask the symptoms. Propecia is the first FDA approved drug that tackles the CAUSE of hair loss.

It is well recognized that DHT is the culprit behind Male Pattern Balding. The real root of balding is hair "thinning" NOT hair "loss". DHT leads to hair "thinning" which continues to the point that the hair follicle is unable to produce a hair, hence balding! In fact, the average scalp contains 100,000 hairs and 100 hairs are normally lost everyday. This is a normal process.

Imagine planting seeds in a bare patch of land, then filming over the next 10 years as the seeds produce small twigs that eventually grow to robust mature large trees, a dense forest. Now, imagine that same footage in reverse- this is what DHT does to the hair follicle. The dense forest is reduced to the fine thin twigs. The forest looks less full- just like the hair on your head. Now, imagine if you could stop and reverse the "thinning" process. This is Step one in the treatment of Hair Loss. Step 2 is under development . . . Stay tuned.
